Piercings

We offer a hygienic disposable one use needle system, on arrival at the appointment we will assess your anatomy to see if you are suitable for the intending piercing, taking into consideration your existing piercings and your plan for your piercing concept and the intended jewellery. We will mark the positioning and ensure you are happy with the placement before we proceed with the piercing. Part of our piercing experience includes detailed aftercare instructions, in an AURUM.Ldn bubble bag.

Our piercing jewellery is designed to be worn after the piercing period. The solid 14ct gold and titanium collections offer single, a matching pair, or the option to get a few mix and match!

We pierce with a longer post to account for any swelling during the early stages of the healing process, once your piercing has started to heal and swelling subsides you can reduce your bar size, this is generally around 12 weeks. You can either return to AURUM.Ldn to downsize your jewellery or order a shorter bar online. Downsizing promotes additional healing as it reduces bacterial spread as the post will not move through the ear. If the piercing placement is at a location prone to catching or pressure downsizing is highly recommended the piercings angle can be affected if left with the longer bar.

We offer piercings for the ear / nose / nipples.

Ear curation service

The appointment allows sufficient time to takes photos of your ear and digitally plan out your dream curation, we will discuss your intentions and see what will be possible for you, checking the anatomy for the intended piercings. We can make jewellery selections and determine how long the process may take and book in appointments accordingly.

Generally we have time to do piercings within this time frame, but please be aware that if the design process takes longer this may not be possible that day. If no piercings or jewellery changes are done on the day of the ear curation then there is a £20 charge for the curation itself, this is to cover the time taken.
